How PeerPie actually works.

01 · Plans

Three ways to send.

Three different plans, all in the same app. Pick whichever one fits you best.

Verified means one email + one code. No password, no card. Pro tokens are one-time, there's no subscription anywhere in the app.

02 · Upload

Upload flow.

1. Pick your files, click Browse, or drag your files and folders anywhere onto the upload card.
2. Review the list, remove anything you didn't mean to add. You can even remove individual files from inside a folder.
3. Add details (optional), set a password if you want. Verified users can also add a recipient's email address and a message to send it with.
4. Hit Start upload, your files transfer straight from your device to our secure servers. We never see their contents.
5. Connection, your upload goes as fast as your connection allows and slows down when it's slower, but it stays steady, and if the connection wobbles it keeps going instead of failing.
6. Share, once your files are safely on the server you get a short link. Copy it and send it wherever you want, or, if you're verified, email it straight to the recipient.

You can stack up to 2,000 files in a single upload. If you have more, it's better to zip them first.

03 · Resilience

What happens when your network is unstable.

We built the upload engine to keep working on an unstable connection. It assumes WiFi will drop, phone signal will cut out, or a device will freeze, and everything is designed to survive that.

• Auto-retry, if your upload gets disconnected, it retries on its own, and the moment your connection comes back, the upload resumes.
• Single-file resume, uploading a big file when your device shuts off from a dead battery or power cut? Turn it back on, come back to PeerPie, hit Resume, and pick the same file. It continues from where it left off, nothing to start over. Folders are the exception, those you have to start again.
• Real pause, if you need to pause an upload you can, and it actually stops. Hit Resume when you're ready and it picks straight back up.

04 · Pro tokens

Pay once, send big.

A token is one big upload, up to a size that depends on the token you bought. You can buy multiple tokens in a single checkout, and each one stays valid for 12 months from the day you buy it.

• We pick the right size, once you stack your files onto the upload card, our system automatically picks the best-fit token from the ones you own, so you never waste a bigger token on a smaller job.
• Extend a live link, Pro uploads can be extended by 30, 60, 90, or 120 more days from the My Files section, using your available tokens.
• Auto-refund, if you cancel, your token comes back instantly. If an upload fails, it comes back right away too. And if your device crashed before it could tell us, our system reclaims the token automatically, usually within an hour and at most about 4 hours.
• No expiry surprises, your uploads and unused tokens get a reminder email 24 hours before they expire, so you have time to act.

05 · Security

How we keep things safe.

• Encrypted in transit, every byte is encrypted on its way from your device to storage and back.
• Log out means logged out, when you sign out, we end your session on our side, so nobody can keep using it afterward.
• Password-protect a link, want an extra layer of security? Add a password before you upload, then share it with your recipients so they can download the files.
• Rate limits, we cap how often each device and IP can hit our public endpoints so nobody can abuse them. Anonymous users are limited to one upload every 24 hours.
• Abuse reports, every download page has a Report link. When we receive a report, our team reviews it and responds accordingly. We take every report seriously.

06 · Storage + downloads

Where files live.

Your files live on secure, reliable cloud storage with built-in redundancy, so even if there's an outage your files stay safe and accessible.

Every download runs through a PeerPie custom domain, and it can be paused and resumed from any browser or download manager, no extra software needed.

We also have a built-in zip feature, so a folder or a set of files can be downloaded all at once. We build the zip on our side, and for big archives that take a while, you can ask to be notified when it's ready, then close the tab and get on with your day.
