1.Acceptance
PeerPie (“the Service”) is operated by PeerPie LTD (“PeerPie”, “we”, or “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 to use PeerPie. If you use PeerPie on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2.The service
PeerPie is a file-sharing service. You upload files, we hold them on secure storage for a set time, we give you a link to share, and we delete the files when the link expires.
PeerPie is not a backup service, an archive, a collaboration platform, or a permanent host. Files disappear on schedule, always keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
3.Tiers + limits
Three tiers, per the pricing page:
- Anonymous, 512 MB per upload, 12 hours link expiry, 1 upload per 24 h per device.
- Verified email, 3 GB per upload, 7 days link expiry, unlimited uploads.
- Pro tokens, up to 200 GB per upload, 30 days link expiry (extendable in 30-day blocks per token), unlimited uploads. Tokens are valid 12 months from purchase.
All uploads capped at 2,000 files per batch. Uploads must not exceed the applicable tier size cap. We may adjust limits with reasonable notice.
4.Acceptable use
You may not upload, store, or share files that:
- Violate any applicable law (including but not limited to CSAM, human trafficking, terrorism, controlled substances, and unauthorized weapons).
- Infringe intellectual property rights you don't own or aren't licensed to distribute.
- Contain malware, ransomware, phishing kits, or exploit payloads.
- Constitute defamation, harassment, doxing, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Impersonate another person or organization to defraud recipients.
- Facilitate the mass abuse of another service (credential stuffing lists, spam lists, etc.).
Every download page carries a “Report” link, and you can also email [email protected]. Reports go to a human moderator queue. Confirmed abuse results in immediate file takedown and a ban on the responsible account or device. We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement.
5.Copyright + DMCA
If you believe content shared through PeerPie infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] that includes:
- Your contact details.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The PeerPie download link to the material.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We remove confirmed-infringing content promptly, notify the uploader where appropriate, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may reply with a counter-notice.
6.Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content you upload. Don't upload things you shouldn't.
- You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Files WILL be deleted on expiry.
- You are responsible for who you share links with. Public download URLs are guessable-hard but not private without a password.
- You are responsible for keeping your verified email + Pro tokens secure. Session cookies are HttpOnly and revocable, but if someone gets access to your inbox they can pass verification.
7.File retention + deletion
Files are deleted on expiry, that's the whole point. Cleanup runs every 30 minutes and removes expired files from storage completely. Once expired, files can't be recovered by you, us, or anyone.
You can delete your own uploads at any time from the My Files panel (verified and Pro accounts). Verified users can also delete files using the one-time delete links we show at upload time. Admins may remove any file that violates these Terms without notice.
8.Payments + refunds
Pro tokens are processed by our payment processor. We do not store your card number.
- Automatic refunds, if you cancel an upload the token comes back instantly. If an upload fails it comes back right away too, and if your device crashed before it could tell us, our system reclaims the token automatically, at most about 4 hours later. No action needed on your part.
- Unused tokens, refundable within 30 days of purchase. Email us to request one.
- Used tokens, tokens tied to a live share aren't refundable (the storage is already paid for). You can delete the share any time to free things up.
- Chargebacks, filing a chargeback for a legitimate token purchase will result in account suspension and the loss of any tokens or files tied to the account, in addition to the payment processor's fees.
9.Account termination
You may delete your account at any time by emailing us, see the Privacy Policy for the process.
We may suspend or terminate access without notice for material violations of these Terms (illegal content, abuse of the platform, chargebacks). We may also discontinue the Service or specific features with reasonable notice, verified users will be emailed at least 14 days in advance for material discontinuation.
10.Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don't promise 100%. Occasional maintenance windows, provider outages (storage, DNS, payment), and hardware failures happen. The Service is provided on an “as-available” basis. We do not offer an SLA on the free tiers. For Pro users, we'll credit tokens for extended outages on a case-by-case basis, email us if you believe you're owed a credit.
11.Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any given file will remain accessible for any specific period. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PeerPie's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid PeerPie in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or business) arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility.
13.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify PeerPie against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from (a) your uploaded content, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
14.Governing law + venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. If you are outside the United Kingdom, you consent to that jurisdiction for any dispute related to the Service. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your home country.
15.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date; verified users will be emailed at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. If you disagree with an update, stop using the Service before the effective date.
16.General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and PeerPie LTD regarding the Service.
